My session with BW was kind of a walk down memory lane. His mom babysat me when I was younger, his aunt was one of my sister's best friends & his grand parents have had a big impact on the community where I grew up. During our 3-hour session, we ran around the family property that's 700+ acres of beautiful pecan orchards. What a great place to grow up. I got to hear lots of stories about the heritage of this family business (Hauani Creek Ranch Pecans) and the memories that BW & his brother have made while growing up out there. BW reminds me of what my husband was like at this age. He's got great character, work ethic & is a gentleman. Mama taught him well! ;) BW and Libby, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

What a gem Lindsey is! She's the total package! She is beautiful inside and out, plays golf, goes hunting and does it all with grace. I am honored to have been able to spend the afternoon with her last week. We ran around town to 3 different locations and, with the assistance of her "entourage", we lugged her wardrobe and some furniture with us. What a fun afternoon! Lindsey, I hope you enjoy your sneak peak and the "surprise" at the end! ;)
The last location was at Lindsey's boyfriend's house. His mom and dogs came out to keep us company. The two labs recognized Lindsey and were VERY excited to see her! It made for good laughs and even better outtakes! What a funny memory!

{Styling a Photo Shoot} Dallas-Rockwall Family Photographer
Recently I watched a competition on The Food Network and Professional Food Stylists competed for a prize. Their day jobs are to take food that a chef has prepared and make them look pretty for a picture. Often they are hired by restaurants for the commercial images that will be used for advertising purposes. Like food, people are also used to model clothes, jewelry, shoes, makeup, etc. Stylists are also used to prepare the model for a photo shoot. They make the best of what they've been given and create beautiful combinations of "eye candy" for a pleasing final image. Below is an inspiratin board and my attempt at being a clothing stylist to prepare my family for our upcoming family portraits. It's the first year I've done it this way so I'm hoping that my efforts will produce breath-taking final images! I'll let you know ;)

What a lucky girl I am! Aren't these sisters just precious?! I had such a fun time getting ready for and doing this shoot. They were absolute angels and gave me so many great images. Mom and Dad are going to have a hard time fighting off the boys! J&K, thanks so much for letting me do these! I hope you enjoy!

Can I just tell you that I met the most polite young man the other day. (If I had a daughter his age I would totally want her to date him, but I don't so oh well!) He looked me in the eye and shook my hand when he drove up to meet his mom and me after football practice. Don't know which he'd rather do; run laps for the coach or say cheese for me! Well, Brady was so patient with me as I thought about poses, location choices, lighting, props & even potty breaks. Brady's mom called me after seeing Emily's senior pics and wanted to hire me for her son's pictures as well. Thanks guys for such a wonderful day. I really am honored to have met Brady and his mom! Hope you enjoy a peak at a few of my favs!!
